Leptoquark

A theoretical fundamental particle, the LEPTOQUARK is so named because it would decay into a quark and a lepton and might help to explain why there are three generations of leptons and quarks in the standard model. Experiments at Fermilab so far have not shown evidence of leptoquarks, which are theorized to be as massive as a lead atom. Having properties of both quarks and leptons, they would decay very quickly.
