WHY IS SHIPPING SO MUCH? Because of the limitations of PayPal's shipping calculations, I am forced to consolidate its very limited shipping increments and sometimes overestimate the costs. PayPal is simply not sophisticated enough to calculate all the various weights and rates that vary within the U.S. and from country to country. When this happens, I will refund you any overpaid shipping.

AAAHH, SHIPPING: Following the postal rates, shipping is determined by total weight of order. Domestically, we ship First Class Mail unless your particles are over 13 ounces, then it automatically goes Priority. Either way, this takes about 2-4 days.
International shipping is available – just choose your country* from the pulldown menu in PayPal when checking out. We use First Class International Mail (6-21 days depending on country) which is not trackable. Orders weighing over 4 lbs (1.8 kg) are shipped Priority International Mail (6-10 days). If you require tracking, please inquire about purchasing a shipping upgrade to Express International Mail (5 days guaranteed).

* I ship to any country the U.S. post office allows, but have had problems with delays to Italy and Lithuania, and no-shows to Brazil so please order at your own risk or inquire about a shipping upgrade with tracking. All orders to Italy are now shipped via Express International to minimize loss and so they can be tracked.
I highly encourage Registered Mail when shipping to Brazil or other South American countries. It is available for $11.50. Please email me to request it. Shipping is available to Mexico through FedEx or UPS only. Please inquire to arrange special shipping: particle @ particlezoo.net.

SHAPE & SIZE: Particle plushies may vary ever so slightly from the picture because they are handmade items. Being approximately "hand-sized," they range in size from 4 to 5 inches (9-13 cm), with the electron being the smallest, and the tachyon being the longest (width: 7 inches/18 cm). Colors and fabric may vary with material availability.

WEIGHT: Particle weights vary according to their properties. The dark matter, top quark and W boson, for example, are the heaviest, as they are stuffed with polished aquarium gravel. The massless bosons are the lightest—they are stuffed with polyester stuffing. The muon, a middleweight (very loosely speaking), is stuffed with poly pellets. I tried to make the tachyon completely massless but I'm still waiting for him to return from the past (future?) to find out if it worked.
